Emma Hursey is a British graphic designer and illustrator based in Australia. After studying fashion and culture journalism, in 2013 Emma turned to visual communication. She has been collaborating with other designers and companies ever since.

After moving to Berlin, in 2016 she joined Olafur Eliasson's Little Sun project as the Graphic Designer. She continues to collaborate with the team since establishing her own practice. In 2018, Emma exhibited and published Contrary to What is Agreeable, a multidisciplinary work which studies diversity in the creative industries. In 2019, she joined 5 other designers in forming The Boys Club – a design collective working and collaborating from their studio in Berlin. Together they've hosted community events for the likes of AIGA Eye on Design, Ladies Wine & Design, Notamuse, as well as exhibiting work as part of 48h Neukölln.

A full site is coming soon. Meanwhile, Emma maintains a digital selection of design resources here and an online catalogue of good books here. The new decade finds her in rural Queensland, Australia where she's working on book, website, illustration and branding commissions. You can follow her work on Instagram. She was recently invited to contribute a print to DrawFor's NHS campaign which is currently available to purchase here. Emma's focus is ever on community and she's passionate about connecting with companies and designers from around the world. Don't hesitate to get in touch about commissions, collaborations or simply to chat –

Currently based in Queensland, Australia, on the traditional lands of the Gubbi Gubbi People. I pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the land, ancestors and elders—past, present and future. I value the role of storytelling in their culture, which is amongst the oldest living cultures in the world. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be.
